Lovely base for 3 nights with sweet staff at the reception desk. Light and great rooms with view on san lorenzo, free Wi-Fi. Exceptional location, very close to Medici Chapel. Also - adjacent to the center of Florence great choice, the Basilica di San Lorenzo and the Cappelle Medicee, and the Cattedrale di Santa Maria del Fiore.

Loved Florence, the hotel was unique and ideal in the city center. The property had a marvellous location really close to a medieval cathedral. Besides, it was near a cafe nearby for breakfast and main attractions including the Mercato Centrale a huge local marketplace which offers delicious homemade local food.

The hotel has a unique historical atmosphere.
I found the mattress hard, which ruined my sleep for all three nights. When I raised this concern to the front desk, the response was that some guests prefer firm mattresses, while I was looking for comfort after long days of exploring. Unfortunately, the noise from late-night guests also made it hard to rest, with doors slamming and conversations echoing in the hallways.

fine library with a bar, beautiful views, quirky architectural features
Occasional issues with climate control!!! A persistent sewer gas smell in the reception area could use attention!!! Navigating with suitcases through steps was a small hassle!!!

The very nice central location makes explorations effortless, with restaurants and attractions just steps away. The spacious family suite offered a amazing view and even a spa bath. The bed proved to be quite hard, detracting from an otherwise enjoyable stay. While the staff was helpful, it would be beneficial if breakfast options were more diverse.

Recommend it for families traveling to Florence
The family suite was fantastic , with the view of the Basilica di San Lorenzo from our room just nice. The staff was kind and provided us all the info we needed to get around , even offering a welcome drink that felt mad really like a nice touch.
It wasn't inexpensive , but still reasonable for what we got.
